THE STORY BEHIND 7 TREES
Sometimes a second chance begins with one small act of love.

Where a love for animals becomes a lifelong mission.

About five years ago, my life changed in an instant when I suffered a severe stroke.
I was hospitalized and unable to speak, swallow, or move the right side of my body. I was scared, frustrated, and unable to communicate what I needed.
My son came to see me and found a simple way to help. He drew the alphabet on a piece of paper so I could point to the letters and communicate.
I was able to spell out two of the most basic things a person can ask for:
Eventually, a feeding tube was placed in my stomach as I began the long process of recovery.
But while I was fighting to rebuild my own life, something else was happening.
My son went and got my dog, Seven, and brought him home to live with him and his girlfriend, who is now his beautiful wife.
I know that without them, Seven may not have survived.
For nearly two years, they cared for him, loved him, and gave him a home. When I finally got Seven back, he was like a new dog.
That experience stayed with me.
While lying in that hospital bed, I made a promise to myself:
“I would one day create a place where animals could have the same kind of second chance that Seven had been given.”
After another two years of planning, thinking, working, and rebuilding my life, that promise began to become reality.
7 Trees Animal Rescue & Sanctuary was born.
Our mission is simple:
“To rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals while providing a loving sanctuary for life.”
Seven was given a second chance.
Now I want to help give that same chance to other animals.
We're building 7 Trees in Bonanza, Oregon, and we're just getting started.
Please help me build this dream.
One animal. One second chance. One life changed.
